Truck off!!!

Here are a selection of pics and videos of a ride home after work from the Exam Centre to the Hotel - hopefully it can give you a brief taste of the complete disregard Indians have for what others in the world might regard as 'road-sense' or adherence to the Highway Code ☺

The yellow lorry has decided that he just doesn't want to wait in the queue on the normal side of the road at a toll point on the highway - so he's crossed the road to go through the other side of the checkpoint, thus rendering our direction impassable. His vehicle is just the first one I managed to capture on the mobile vid, there were at least 6 more preceeding him that our driver let through, then he got miffed and had had enough, so he just drove into the lorry's path to prevent him passing through the lane.
If the lorry driver had 'stuck to his guns' and persisted, and kinetic energy being what it is, the front of our vehicle may have become a different shape entirely ☺

The rest of the video shows our progress through the toll point as the lorry gives in and reverses - meanwhile, the traffic you see passing to our left is the people who [faced with the same predicament as us] also got fed up, removed a number of traffic cones blocking the equivalent of the hard shoulder, drove through because it represented the quickest way!
