Crazy range of eating out prices

By Indian standards, the food prices in most of the hotel restaurants are as steep as they would seem in the UK – but that doesn’t take into account the exchange rate, which results in a seriously good 5-star Hotel 2-course meal costing around 1,000 Rupees, or £13.50p.
I went into the local shopping Mall this evening (saturday Nov 14th) with one of the other Examiners who’s been here for 7 weeks already and we paid 220 Rupees each for an Indo-Chinese meal in the one of the food halls i.e. £3.00p!!!
If you’re feeling brave enough to try the street vendors {NOT because of the food quality but one’s ‘tummy acclimatisation’} that are found on ‘food streets’ where sometimes hundreds of street vendors ply their trade, you can be paying in 10’s not 100’s!!!
